OVERVIEW

Language Plus invites you to be an active participant in the Borderlands Course.

This carefully planned course will guide you to explore a broad range of topics on the life and culture of the El Paso, Texas-Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico sister cities border region. An eclectic range of topics is offered for examination, discussion and Spanish practice.

YOU WILL:

  • Engage in lively, interactive group conversations 
  • Explore daily life, music & arts, traditions, history, religion, food, language, current issues, business, architecture, border challenges, nature, Native American influence, the Wild West
  • Interact with guest speakers
  • Watch videos
  • Have extensive Spanish practice and receive valuable feedback
  • Be led by instructors with decades of life experience on the border

YOU WILL MEET:

  • Online via ZOOM
  • 2 times per week
  • 2.5 hours per class
  • For 6 weeks (30 hours total)
