ENGLISH
TEACHING METHODOLOGY
Methodology
As a language training institute, we strongly believe in using both the direct method and communicative approach. This means that only English is used in the classroom and learners are the ones speaking and communicating 60-80% of the time in class. Classes are intentionally small, guaranteeing you endless opportunities to practice in class and receive individual attention. Your English skills (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening and Grammar) will develop faster and in an integrated way.
Cultural Exchange
Our clients say they really enjoy meeting and speaking English with multicultural students and travelers from around the U.S. and the world! Our diverse group of students range in age from 17 to 60+. Their reasons for wanting to improve their English range from: to have a better experience of general life and culture in the United States, to strengthening specific skills to achieve professional or academic goals. You too will undoubtedly enjoy and benefit from the network of friendships you develop throughout your time with us.
Placement
Every student takes the Language Plus placement exam, testing your Speaking, Listening, Grammar, Reading, and Writing skills. This is used to place you in the appropriate level class. The placement process includes speaking with a team member to identify your personal language objectives and set realistic goals.
Language Certificate
Upon completing your course, you will receive a Language Plus Certificate of Completion, showing the number of hours or weeks you attended.
